Nothing Changes.........
Peter Kay used to provide moments of unintended hilarity when he worked for us....despite retiring some time ago, Pete still has the ability to do this and today was an exceptional example......
Pete had been playing with Derek and as they reached the 9th green they were caught in a torrential downpour. The umbrellas came up and they called it a day, making their way up the carpark that resembled a white water rafting course, in the manner of two elderly salmon swimming upstream.....
As they reached the Clubhouse, Derek took shelter under the canopy, whilst Pete stood out in the pouring rain, collapsed his brolly and packed it into his bag as the rain hammered onto him......I looked at Derek, sitting in the dry, and Pete, now absolutely wringing wet..."Why did you not go under the shelter and stay dry whilst you put the brolly away then?" I asked. Derek meanwhile was now also wet, from the tears of laughter that were running down his face.....This is Chalgrave. You don't have to make it up........
