Hole in one on Captains Day…

Covid has made no difference to Roy Evans, as he sandwiches Covid 19 with 2 holes in one, his previous one being in December 2019 and on Saturday on Captains day, he aced the 5th hole with a 6 iron. With 100 people playing golf, Roy opted to contribute £50 to the Captains Charity, which was most generous of him!

Roy struck his shot and immediately said to playing partner Dave Burden, "I couldn't have hit that any better" and then watched as it rolled across the green and dropped into the hole!!

Captains Day was a resounding success, with 100 golfers participating and the golf ended with Steve Lee waving a folorn goodbye to his 23 handicap as he blitzed the course with 47 points to win the event.....

That is the 7th recorded ace of the year so far and Roy now has 3 holes in one recorded on our Hole in One charts!...
