A warm welcome awaits any lady who wishes to join Chalgrave Manor Golf Club - whether you are a complete beginner or already possess a handicap.

We are a small group of friendly lady golfers with handicaps from 16 – 36 (and some new ladies without handicaps) but all who love to play golf at this challenging course.

Pre-Season meeting

All ladies – new, present or past are invited to our Pre-Season meeting on Wednesday, 17th April 2019 at 7pm in the clubhouse – you will be most welcome and we would love to meet you.

Social golf

We meet every Wednesday evening at 5.30pm - 6.00pm from end of April to end of August for just

9-holes of fun golf - there is a mix of abilities in each group.

Competitive golf

Most Saturdays from April to October, we hold competitions starting from 9.30am.  We hold a medal on the 1st Saturday of the month and there are stableford, pairs, mixed and also knockout competitions during the summer months.  To play in competitions, ladies need to have a handicap, which they can achieve by submitting 3 cards.

To keep your handicap “active”, ladies need to play in at least 3 single qualifying competitions per year.  After that, it’s up to the individual how often and when they play.  Encouragement and support will always be there but if competitive golf is not what you want, then social golf is also available (see above).

We hold friendly matches against a few other local golf clubs and an away day is organised by the Lady Captain each year.  A number of our ladies play in County competitions and enter Ladies Opens which enables them to play on other courses which represents good value for money.
